Worship Choir is a very vital and exciting ministry at our church. It has proved to be a real blessing to both the choir members and the congregation. It is considered to be part of the teaching ministry of the church body according to Colossians 3:16 and Ephesians 5:19. Choir members are active leaders of the worship service and set a public example in their testimony, dedication, and commitment to the Lord.

Our Methods
Whether through the hymns, songs of worship and praise, or through the singing of scripture text, all of our music is blended to express the heart-felt love for the Lord our congregation is so ready to communicate. At Berean, we take preparation seriously. Choir members come to practice sessions on time, ready and eager to worship and learn the music being prepared. This is a prime opportunity not only to become more proficient in performance, but also to allow the music to minister to the choir personally before bringing it before the congregation. Every song presented is Christ honoring and well prepared musically. 1 Corinthians 14:15 says, I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with the understanding also.
We have been blessed with a broad range of music ability in the area of soloist and small groups. We feature soloist monthly and have a variety of small groups (duets, trios, quartets, ensembles) who also participate in our worship services during the year. Our Worship Team assists in leading worship at various times each month. All singers are selected based upon ability and commitment to the choir ministry at Berean.
The choir rehearses in the morning before the services and in the evening.
Special rehearsals are often necessary for musicals and special events, and may fall on weeknights or Saturdays.
